Our Projects

CoMinVi currently operates in 7 active underground mining units across Mexico.

Map of our projects in Mexico

Chispas

Silver Crest
At the Las Chispas project, CoMinVi has forged a path of precision and consistency. Since 2022, over 38,000 meters of underground development have been completed — a testament to operational excellence. Our team leads critical phases of the mining process, from ramp development and long-hole drilling to ore haulage and ground stabilization. Each task is performed under the highest safety and productivity standards. Las Chispas stands as a model of seamless collaboration with the client, reflecting CoMinVi’s reputation for reliability and technical mastery.

Pinos Altos

Agnico Eagle
At the heart of the Sierra Madre, CoMinVi works alongside Agnico Eagle in the Pinos Altos underground mine. Our expertise extends across the Cerro Colorado, San Eligio, and Cubiro deposits — each defined by unique geological structures controlled by the “Santo Niño” and “Reyna de Plata” faults. Through meticulous planning and technical precision, CoMinVi has delivered consistent results in ramp development, long-hole drilling, and haulage. The project exemplifies our ability to maintain continuous, safe operations that meet the highest standards of the global mining industry.

Concheño

Minera Frisco
Since June 2025, CoMinVi has been driving the underground development of the Concheño project. Working in the Colanachi and Navidad mines, our team manages ramp deepening and ore haulage in a zone characterized by abundant groundwater — a significant technical challenge for ventilation and geotechnical stability. From 214 meters of monthly development in June to nearly 500 meters in October, the rapid growth showcases CoMinVi’s agility and ability to scale operations safely. Even in demanding hydrogeological conditions, we deliver with precision, speed, and confidence.

Aranzazu

Aura Minerals Inc.
Since 2018, CoMinVi has played a key role in the long-term evolution of the Aranzazú mine. The Skarn-type deposit poses complex geotechnical challenges, yet our adaptive fortification system — combining re-bar anchoring, steel cable installation, spilling, shotcrete, and CRF/URF filling — ensures stability and safety at every level. With more than 40,000 meters developed, 5 million tons hauled, and 1.8 million cubic meters produced, Aranzazú is a landmark of sustained collaboration and engineering excellence. Here, CoMinVi’s dedication to geomechanical integrity and large-scale productivity sets the benchmark for underground mining in Mexico.

Cozamin

Capstone Mining Corp
In Cozamin, CoMinVi contributes to one of Mexico’s most mature underground operations through specialized manpower and precision mining. Using the Cut-and-Fill method, our team coordinates development, extraction, and backfill with remarkable accuracy. The operation’s narrow high-grade veins demand intelligent ventilation management and seamless supervision — challenges we meet with technical rigor. Achieving over 157,000 cubic meters of production in 2024 alone, CoMinVi continues to enhance Cozamin’s efficiency while upholding the highest standards of safety and environmental care

Campo Morado

Luca Mining Corp
Since August 2024, CoMinVi has supported Luca Mining in the underground development of Campo Morado — a volcanogenic massive sulfide deposit that demands strict control of blasting and stability. Through meticulous engineering and disciplined execution, we have achieved more than 5,000 meters of development and 80,000 meters of long-hole drilling in 2025. Operating in a remote region, CoMinVi not only ensures technical excellence but also strengthens community relations and maintains the highest safety standards across complex logistical environments.

Don David Gold

Gold Resources Corp
CoMinVi began operations at Don David Gold in May 2025, focusing on the development of ramps and new access points to high-grade blocks. The project employs selective cut-and-fill methods adapted to the narrow veins of Oaxaca’s geology. Growth has been swift — from 441 meters developed in June to 634 meters by August — underscoring our efficiency and adaptability. Beyond engineering precision, CoMinVi’s commitment extends to community engagement and operational safety, ensuring responsible and sustainable development in one of Mexico’s most geologically unique regions.

Our Process

At CoMinVi, underground mining is a coordinated, multi-phase operation built on precision, safety, and efficiency. Every project follows a rigorous sequence that ensures structural stability, high productivity, and a strong focus on safety.

01

Drilling

This is the process of creating boreholes using percussive rotary motion on the rock mass, which are later charged with explosives for detonation.

02

Blasting

The controlled use of explosives to fracture or fragment the rock mass

03

Mucking

The process of cleaning and extracting blasted material from tunnels, stopes, or other works, and depositing it in loading bays, bins, or trucks using a scooptram.

04

Haulage

The transportation of blasted material—either ore or waste rock—using dump trucks or low-profile trucks, which are loaded with a scooptram

05

Ground Support

A technique used to ensure ground stability, using anchoring systems, mesh, shotcrete, or steel frames as needed to secure fractured, pressurized, or collapse-prone rock.

06

Continuous Execution

The continuous coordination and execution of mining operations to ensure uninterrupted workflow, maximize productivity and minimize operational downtime across a site

07

Ventilation

The injection of clean, fresh air to dissipate toxic gases such as carbon monoxide (CO) and nitrogen oxides (NO, NO₂).

08

Scaling/Re-scaling

A technique used to detect and safely remove loose rock from ceilings, walls, and backs, using tools and equipment specifically designed for this task.

09

Supervision

The inspection and verification of the quality and safety of the work performed by each team member.

10

Safety Monitoring

A process involving the observation and analysis of facilities, equipment, and production activities to identify existing hazards and assess potential risks in the workplace.
